Guildford Guitar Tuition Lesson Information
I currently charge £25 per hour and £15 per half hour. If I'm fully booked when you enquire about guitar lessons, then I'll be able to refer a guitar teacher in the area whom I usually refer my students to when necessary.
Depending on which teacher I refer you to, will depend on price. Some may be slightly higher than me, and others slightly lower.
Most of my students usually book 1 hour lessons, which gives us much more time to study the chords, rhythm, scales etc to play the songs, but if finances are an issue or if you'd prefer to just have a 30 minute lesson instead of the hour, that's absolutely fine….
30 minute lessons are usually booked by students under ten years old and of course parents are welcome to sit in on the lesson.
Just let me know what works best for you and we can schedule it.
Lessons are usually on a one to one basis but if you'd like to bring a friend along so you can split the cost.
It can be harder to teach two people, especially if you are both at different skill levels, but again, if you'd like to have a friend or partner come along with you, pleae let me know.
I have several duo's who come for lessons together… (father, son, and husband, wife) at present.
What kind of things do I need to bring to the lessons?
Actually, you don't need to bring much. Just bring yourself, your guitar, plectrum and past lesson notes. Amps, leads and all other equipment are provided during the lesson.
If you've got any books that you've been working from, bring them along also so I can check where abouts you are in your progress.
I have some students I've been teaching for 4+ years, and others who only want lessons for a short period of time. Sometimes I get calls from people who want to give a set of 5 guitar lessons to their partner for christmas or as a birthday present.
I welcome any new students and if I'm fully booked I'll refer you on to a couple of recommended guitar teachers I know.
