I'm based in Guildford, Surrey and have 8 years of teaching experience in guitar tuition.

What will I learn?

During your 1st lesson , we'll discuss the styles, and songs that you are looking to learn and I will work out what level you are currently at, so I know where abouts to start teaching you from.

I'll also ask a few questions about any previous musical tuition, musical influences, how long you have to practice each day or week, and how long youve been playing.

We'll can then work out a study plan that suits you, and each week we'll add to your playing ability with various chords, arpeggios, scales, songs, techniques, tone, vibrato, lead and rhythm, sight reading and much more.

Over a period of time, you'll build up a great knowledge of all the necessary components of being a competent guitar player.

If there are any specific songs you'd like to learn, just let me know and we can learn the chords for the song and then gradually start to play along with the CD.

I find that many children, teenagers and adults would rather just learn the guitar for fun rather than sit exams etc, and I love to teach students who want to go down this route.

I teach people of all ages, abilities and direction. Some come for guitar lessons in Guildford because they just want to learn songs for fun, others to prepare for music exams, others to impress their friends and others because they want to improve their style and technique.

So what styles do you teach?

I teach a whole range of styles, including, Rock/pop, Heavy Metal, blues, Classical, acoustic, finger picking etc. If you want to learn something specific, just let me know and I am happy to teach it to you.

What if Im a total beginner?

No problem at all! I teach beginners all the time, in fact, if you are just starting out playing the guitar its even better. I can teach you all the basics, from holding the guitar, playing your first chords, learning a few songs and techniques to playing solo's in a band. I can then correct any problems you may encounter along the way.

I've been teaching many of my guitar students from when they were beginners and they've progressed into very competent musicians.
